Christmas Programs

Here are a few pictures of our recent Christmas programs. Last week Cameron played the roll of one of the angels at our church. Type-casting...her Dad and I are not so sure!! She has definitely come out of her shell the past year. Last year she never would have had any part of being in front of people and singing. Sometimes we wish she was still a little shy :)

Cameron was not the only one with a part in the play. Parker was casted as baby Jesus. She played her roll very well; falling asleep just before her entrance and resting comfortable the entire scene. Here is a picture of 'baby Jesus' being held by Mary (Sydney Smith).

After one snow storm postponed Cameron's very first preschool concert, tonight's weather didn't stop the performance. About 45 of BCLUW's finest preschoolers performed in the High School auditorium for their Christmas concert. (It was called a concert, but others may call it chaos.) Being first time parents to a preschooler, we did learn a few things about this type of event.

1. Get there early... Parents and grandparents come in herds to watch these events. (Including us! Cameron's entourage of 11 included Mom, Dad, 2 sisters, 4 grandparents, 2 uncles and 1 aunt-to-be)

2. Get a good seat for optimal video recording. Flash photograph was definitely used tonight!! This event was similar to that of the paparazzi trying to get pics of Paris or Brittany after a night of partying. Hopefully vision screening are scheduled at preschool in the near future for the little ones.

After a few classic school songs were creatively transformed into Christmas songs, we headed to the commons for refreshments and here home in just about 1 hour. Kyle's comment...'One hour, that's my kind of concert!"
